 What does GPL do?

What is the Friends of GPL?

The Friends of the Greenwood Public Library is a donor supported nonprofit organization that advocates, raises funds, and provides critical support for the Greenwood Public Library.  We provide the community with opportunities to invest in the success of the Library by donating funds or time.  We raise money and we raise our voices to ensure a first-class public library for Greenwood.  The Friends organization is a vital part of what the Greenwood Public Library is and how it operates.  This group of dedicated volunteers help raise money and awareness that enhances the Library's offerings to our community.

How do the Friends of GPL help the library?

The Friends help pay for all programming done at the Greenwood Public Library and also materials and equipment that would not otherwise be possible within the constraints of the Library's operating budget. Donors, Sponsors and Friends have given in pledges and gifts of over $330,000 since 2010.
